In addition, Phil has held positions of CEO, COO, CFO and Controller at seven companies incorporating: strategy; finance; accounting; sales and marketing; vendor, facilities and information technology management; and evaluating, establishing and managing human resource programs, including employee benefit plans.
Elected partner in seven years at one of the most well respected litigation consulting firms in the country (Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett, Inc. – now PA Consulting). Has experience in building boutique consulting practices within the Big Six (now Big Four) accounting firm environment and a high technology PR firm in Pittsburgh. In addition, has four years of technical experience in analytical chemistry in the pharmaceutical industry.
Mr. Brooks was a founding member of the board of directors of the Pittsburgh chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and its former President and Treasurer. He was elected to the board of the Allegheny Land Trust in 2005 and serves as Chairman of the Board and President. He has also served as a Technical Advisor to BlueTree Allied Angels, a regional group of accredited investors who desire to invest in regional early-stage companies. In addition, he is an active member of the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association and the American Bar Association, and was a member, for over 15 years, of the Association for Corporate Growth.
Mr. Brooks earned an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.S. in Pharmacotherapeutics from Long Island University, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Connecticut.
Janet Z. Brooks - vCard
Has over fourteen years of litigation consulting experience in the areas of patent infringement, warranty claim and contract disputes. In addition, she has over eight years of department/project management experience in the healthcare field acting as liaison between a health care information systems provider (HBO & Company, now McKesson Corp) and hospital staff, managing two large clinical laboratories (Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.) and teaching medical technology students in various settings.
Ms. Brooks earned an M.S. in Medical Technology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo and a B.S. in Biology from Slippery Rock University.
